Maestra v1.4

Release notes

Maestra · 25 July 2026

Work hours

Settings now carries a Work Hours screen.

  • Weekly availability, set per weekday. A day holds one or more intervals, so a lunch break sits between two blocks of work.
  • Changes save as they are made. Overlapping intervals and end times before start times are rejected inline.
  • Blocked Times cover time away: an all-day range across several days, or a single day with start and end times, each with an optional description.
  • The day schedule shades hours outside the configured intervals and draws blocked time with diagonal stripes.
  • Past days keep the shading that was in effect on that date.
  • Days other than today open the schedule at the first work hour.

Schedule options

Appointments Display Options is now Schedule Options, and carries two new settings.

  • Default appointment duration, replacing the fixed 60 minutes.
  • Interval between appointments: none, or 5 to 60 minutes.
  • The existing toggle for actual appointment times moved here.
  • Hour slots on the new-appointment form follow the default duration instead of whole hours, and stay inside the work hours set for that day. Slots colliding with an existing appointment, padded on both sides by the interval, are left out.
  • The You screen shows the soonest bookable time next to the new-appointment button. Tapping it opens the form with that start time filled in.

Appointment suggestions

Once a session has been transcribed, the appointment screen can offer two suggestions.

  • Schedule a follow-up, with a proposed timeframe and a one-line reason. Accepting creates the appointment for the same patient at that offset, carrying the reason as its notes.
  • Add to patient record, listing values picked up from the session field by field. Each one is accepted or dismissed on its own.
  • Suggestions are encrypted on-device before they are saved, like every other record.

Patient import

  • Import moved from the Patients tab to Settings, under Import Patients.
  • The + button on the Patients tab now opens the new-patient form directly.
  • The steps are unchanged: pick a source (file, photo, pasted text, dictation), review, confirm.

Note generation

  • Note and summary generation runs from the app root rather than the appointment screen, so leaving the screen or backgrounding the app no longer interrupts it.
  • Appointments left unfinished carry a pending status and pick up again on next open, skipping work that already completed.
  • A failed run stays pending and is retried instead of settling silently.
  • In the browser, a lock keeps two tabs from generating the same note twice, and starting a transcription while another tab is already transcribing reports the conflict.

Editing and forms

  • The heading control in the markdown editor is a named dropdown: Body, Heading 1, Heading 2, Heading 3. It replaces the button that cycled through levels.
  • The editor sits on a floating paper card.
  • Emails, phones and addresses on the patient form collapsed from numbered cards into single rows: type, value, remove.
  • The patient-import review screen uses those same rows, so it matches the patient form.
  • Cancel comes before Remove in the import remove-patient confirmation.

Interface

  • Tabs render natively per platform: a segmented control on iOS, wrapped in liquid glass on iOS 26, with matching treatments on Android and the web. Used on the transcription, patient and appointment screens.
  • The recovery key renders in the same card during onboarding and in Settings.
  • The patient card on the appointment overview opens the patient.
  • Deleting a recurring appointment reads “Delete only this appointment” and “Delete future appointments”.
  • The title choice in onboarding uses a native prompt, and dismissing it leaves no title rather than an incomplete form.
  • Delete failures, transcription warnings and assistant limits appear as dismissible toasts.

Language and region

  • Until a locale is confirmed in onboarding, the app follows the device language. A sign-up through Google or Apple on a Portuguese device no longer opens in English.
  • The onboarding language and region step opens pre-filled from the device.

Subscription

  • Returning from checkout in the browser confirms the subscription and refreshes access on the spot, without waiting on the payment provider callback.
  • The paywall marks the launch price.

Fixes

  • Cold start no longer shows the not-found screen while the account is still loading.
  • A branded 404 screen replaces the framework default, with links home and back.
  • Clearer wording on the appointment header for the scheduled slot.

Data protection

Zero-knowledge architecture: records are encrypted on-device; Maestra’s servers store only encrypted data and cannot read it. Audio and text processed during transcription, note generation and suggestions are sent to specialized AI providers under data processing agreements, in line with Brazil’s LGPD, processed transiently and never stored.
