Maestra v1.1

Release notes

Maestra · 21 June 2026

Background transcription

Transcription continues after leaving the screen: open another patient, switch apps, or lock the device, and the session keeps recording.

  • Status banner inside the app shows the active session and elapsed time, with one tap back to it.
  • iOS: Live Activity on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island shows transcription status and a live timer.
  • Android: persistent notification with a live timer.
  • None of these surfaces display the patient’s identity, only that a transcription is running.

Customizable patient forms

New patient form editor defines which fields a patient file starts with.

  • Add, edit, remove, and reorder fields: text, options, dates, and more.
  • Mark fields as required; define choices for option fields.
  • New patients are created from the form, prefilled.
  • Per-patient one-off fields can be added without editing the form.
  • Field labels, options, and values are encrypted on-device like all sensitive patient data.

Consult note templates

Consult note template is editable section by section.

  • Add, edit, delete, and reorder sections. Changes save automatically.
  • Start from a profession-specific default template and adjust it, or reapply the default at any time.

New Search tab, full-text across patients and appointments.

  • Accent-insensitive and typo-tolerant matching (e.g. “souza” matches “Sôuza”).
  • Runs entirely on-device. End-to-end encryption means the server cannot index or search this data.

Editable documents

Generated clinical documents are no longer read-only.

  • Edit any generated consult note in place with the built-in editor.
  • Edits are stored separately from generated content; nothing produced by Maestra is overwritten.

Visit assistant

  • Dedicated full-screen surface, opened from the appointment screen.
  • Supports focused, multi-turn conversation about the visit under the same zero-knowledge guarantees.
