A short introduction to Maestra

Diogo Carmo · 1 June 2026

Hi, my name is Diogo, and this is the first post in Maestra’s news section. For this first contact, I wanted to share what motivated me to launch Maestra, along with my ambitions for where I’d like to take it.

The idea for this app started from a desire to contribute to the betterment of Brazilian professionals — a way for me to help healthcare professionals in my country gain access to the best tools to carry out their work. In other words, a healthcare professional’s interest in doing their job better is aligned with Maestra’s mission, and I intend to talk with users frequently to understand how they use it and how Maestra can help them.

Because of this mission, the way I’ve chosen to approach building Maestra also means making decisions that give me the freedom to always put future users first. Maestra has no investors, respects its users’ privacy, and I’m always looking for technologies and service providers that share the same philosophy. In Maestra’s documentation you can find a list of the services the app uses, and it will keep evolving over time, always with respect for users’ data first.

I see Maestra as the first digital tool that my company, Colibri Software, will develop and grow. A tool assumes that the decision of how and when to use it rests with its user, and it’s with that philosophy that I set out to build new features and capabilities: so that Maestra never replaces you and your practice, but adds to and improves your day to day (and your patients’ as well).

I’m very excited about this first version of Maestra, and I already have plenty of plans for improvements to help healthcare professionals do their work with more quality and peace of mind.

This news section will feature release notes that are generated automatically, as well as posts written by me with project updates and new ideas. With that, I’ll wrap up this first contact, and I hope to be back soon with news of Maestra’s growth.

Until next time!
